Mission

WHAT TO EXPECT

You are known as a buyer who always manages to close the best deals? You know how to find suppliers that meet the company's needs? We have an opening for you on the Soucy Caoutchouc purchasing team.

Here's an overview of your tasks: 

  • Search for new suppliers and identify business opportunities
  • Analyze and evaluate supplier performance in terms of competitiveness, price, lead time and quality
  • Implement and follow the different KPI's
  • Analyze our manufacturing lines in order to target and negotiate the various possible cost reductions
  • Negotiate all terms and conditions with our different strategic suppliers
  • Participate in the resolution of supplier billing discrepancies
  • Manage non-conformance reports
  • Contribute to inventory management
  • Implement, manage and adjust Kanbans
  • Plan, purchase and relaunch parts for the various sectors of activity while exceeding customer expectations in terms of cost, time and quality
  • Ensure the proper management of purchases for development projects
  • Track open orders in order to eliminate stock-outs

Profile

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR 

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration and/or significant experience in procurement management or a combination of education and experience relevant to the position
  • 3 to 10 years experience in strategic purchasing
  • Ability to negotiate and persuade
  • Ability to conduct supplier and parts analysis
  • Be rigorous, organized, structured, autonomous
  • Demonstrate leadership in the application of tasks
  • Communication and teamwork skills
  • Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written to communicate with English-speaking suppliers
