Mission
WHAT'S IN STORE FOR YOU
Reporting to the Manager, Engineering and Maintenance, you will join a multidisciplinary project team to support, optimize and secure manufacturing operations. As part of your mandate, you will be involved in a variety of stimulating projects, at all levels, from design to implementation.
More specifically, your main duties and responsibilities will include
- Program and support various PLC-equipped equipment (Omron and Allen Bradley PLCs)
- Participate in the programming, integration and operation of robotic cells and related computer systems.
- Carry out projects to improve foundry equipment and processes;
- Participate in the automation and robotization of the plant
- Manage and plan the implementation of new production equipment
- Active participation in the implementation of various projects
- 3D design in connection with various machine safety and industrial process devices
- Manage equipment installation and building improvement projects
- Manage various subcontractors
- Participate in OHS risk reduction activities
Profile
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Member in good standing of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec
- Bachelor's degree in automated production, electromechanical engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or other relevant background
- 3 to 5 years' experience in a similar field
- Demonstrate initiative and resourcefulness
- Demonstrate manual skills
- Good analytical skills, curiosity, creativity
- Good command of 3D design software (Solidworks an asset)
- Knowledge of robot and PLC programming software (Sysmac Studio, CX programmer, an asset)
- Professional level English to be able to communicate with our English-speaking customers and suppliers
