In this position, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Supervise and coordinate all production activities at the plant, while ensuring a safe working environment
  • Act as a coach and ensure the skills development of a team of 20 to 25 unionized employees
  • Support the achievement of objectives and the completion of quality activities
  • Ensure performance standards are met
  • Implement improvement initiatives that can influence the daily results and efficiency of your employees

Profile

With the following skills and qualities, you will be successful in this role:

  • Technical degree or high school diploma in mechanical or industrial engineering, manufacturing, or any other relevant experience
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment and personnel management (ideally in a unionized environment)
  • Good knowledge of metalworking processes, particularly machining and/or painting
  • Good understanding of management practices (Lean manufacturing, Kanban, Kaisen, TPS, 5S)
  • Good leadership combined with good management and interpersonal skills
