Mission

The art of negotiation and purchasing: you've got it down! We are looking for a bold thinker like you to join our purchasing team at Soucy. As part of our essential team, you will be responsible for identifying strategic suppliers and managing relationships, ensuring the quality and continuity of our supplies. This position will allow you to help shape the future of Soucy by leading innovative initiatives and playing a crucial role in the growth and success of our company.


In this position, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Seek out new suppliers and manage calls for tenders
  • Negotiate all terms and conditions with our various strategic suppliers
  • Evaluate supplier performance in terms of competitiveness, price, lead time, and quality
  • Analyze our manufacturing ranges to identify business opportunities and negotiate various cost reductions
  • Plan, purchase, and reorder parts for various business sectors in order to meet deadlines and eliminate stock shortages
  • Ensure the proper management of development project purchases and follow up with teams
  • Manage various confirmations (Reach, CMRT, CMMC, etc.)
  • Participate in resolving supplier billing discrepancies
  • Manage non-compliance reports
  • Contribute to inventory management
  • Implement and monitor various KPIs

Profile

With the following skills and qualities, you will be successful in this role:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration and/or significant experience in procurement management or a combination of training and experience relevant to the position.
  • Five years of purchasing experience.
  • Negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Ability to conduct supplier and parts analyses.
  • Be thorough, organized, structured, and self-reliant.
  • Demonstrate leadership in task execution
  • Communication and teamwork skills
  • Fluency in spoken and written French and English in order to communicate with our suppliers
