Mission

As a Quality Assurance Specialist at Soucy, you will be at the heart of our performance, ensuring that every component delivered by our suppliers meets the highest industry standards. Your role will consist of validating, inspecting, and approving parts to ensure they comply with our customers' requirements. In addition to coordinating and monitoring corrective and preventive actions, you will actively participate in the evolution of our quality system, ensuring that every problem finds a lasting solution. Your expertise will be essential to maintaining and improving the quality of our products throughout the supply chain!


In this position, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Write documentation related to Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
  • Plan the Quality of Production Parts (APQP)
  • Perform and/or verify various quality tests during the development and prototyping phase
  • Document quality methods and communicate them to all stakeholders
  • Coordinate various activities related to product launch at the quality level
  • Plan activities and write Measurement System Performance reports
  • Perform production results analyses, e.g., Process Statistics
  • Coordinate the problem-solving process related to customer complaints or requests for corrective action internally or with suppliers
  • Ensure understanding and compliance with Soucy Baron's quality system internally and externally (based on ISO 9001) through audits or other forms of validation
  • Define and implement process and technological changes
  • Assist the Purchasing department in the supplier selection, evaluation, and approval process
  • Participate in improvement projects, workshops aimed at improving processes, quality tools, and eliminating waste within the company and its suppliers
  • Act as a resource person and support your team and Production in the use of quality tools, problem-solving techniques, and statistical tools (Six Sigma)

Profile

With the following skills and qualities, you will be successful in this role:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant diploma combined with solid experience in a similar position
  • Statistical, communication, and writing skills (processes and procedures)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical (drawings) and contractual documents to identify customer quality requirements
  • Strong project management skills; good organizational and planning skills
  • Bilingualism, French and English
  • Strong Ishikawa problem-solving skills
  • Good ability to work and communicate in a team
  • Knowledge of APQP (PPAP) requirements
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001/ISO TS16949 standards
