In this position, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Serve as a point of contact during the installation and maintenance of equipment
  • Design electrical diagrams, electrical panel layouts, and PLC programs
  • Place orders for materials needed to carry out improvement projects
  • Perform maintenance on equipment and instrumentation used in production operations
  • Troubleshoot and perform maintenance on PLCs
  • Install and maintain equipment and electrical controls in accordance with manufacturer’s plans and manuals
  • Calibrate the various control instruments used in production operations
  • Keep technical information regarding equipment and electrical controls up to date
  • Read and diagnose problems using drawings and manuals
  • Participate in and implement improvement projects for existing equipment
  • Perform any other tasks requested by your immediate supervisor

  • Day shift to start (possibly in 3 x 12-hour shifts)
  • Salary: $36.18/hour

Profile

With the following skills and qualities, you will thrive in this role:

  • DEC in Industrial Electrical Engineering or DEC in Electrical Engineering
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
  • Advanced knowledge of automation
  • Proficiency in the mechanical, electronic, electrical, and pneumatic aspects of manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of instrumentation and controls
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret information related to manufacturing processes
  • Leadership, organizational skills, resourcefulness, and the ability to work as part of a team
