Maintenance Planner

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Plan and coordinate preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance work, as well as improvement projects, ensuring optimal use of resources
• Coordinate subcontractor work, from preparation through to monitoring of completion, while ensuring compliance with health, safety, quality, and performance standards
• Optimize the planning and monitoring of work by managing the maintenance schedule, the backlog, and priorities, in collaboration with internal clients
• Prepare work orders and support the maintenance team by assessing needs for labor, parts, equipment, and procedures, particularly by preparing the “kits” required for the work
• Maintain and improve tools and technical documentation, particularly within the CMMS, by ensuring data quality, keeping information up to date, and enhancing planning tools
• Contribute to improving the department’s performance by analyzing key performance indicators, identifying opportunities for optimization, and participating in parts management, procurement, and standardization
• Serve as a resource person for the teams by understanding the needs of internal clients, supporting CMMS users, and ensuring operational continuity when the supervisor or warehouse manager is absent

With the following skills and qualities, you will thrive in this role:

• A DEP in Electromechanics or a DEC in Industrial Maintenance, or any equivalent degree, along with five (5) years of experience in maintenance planning or supervision in an industrial setting
• Computer skills
• Independence and resourcefulness; the candidate must be able to manage the Guide-TI software and maintenance activities and ensure their proper follow-up
• Self-motivated and proactive
• Ability to remain calm in complex situations
• Ability to analyze situations; the candidate possesses a critical mindset to optimize maintenance activities
• Communication skills with all types of people (union members, project managers, etc.)

• Ability to speak and read French
