Reporting to the Intellectual Property Engineer, your main duties will be to :
- Participate in the evaluation of new concepts to identify potential innovations
- Conduct prior art searches
- Participate in the drafting of patent applications
- Coordinate the monitoring of new patents with engineering teams
- Analyze existing patents
- Participate in the evaluation of potential issues of encroachment on third-party intellectual property rights by products offered by Soucy
Profile
With the following skills and qualities, you’ll thrive in this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or other relevant experience
- At least three (3) years of experience
- Bilingualism (English and French) to communicate with our English-speaking partners
- Attention to detail, patience, and the ability to maintain focus over long periods of time
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage documentation in a structured manner
- Independence and resourcefulness
