What does a fun internship look like?

Are you looking for a hands-on internship where you can roll up your sleeves, contribute to exciting engineering projects, and make a direct impact on the performance of our equipment and manufacturing processes? This opportunity is for you!

As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will help improve our production equipment by combining design, innovation, and technical problem-solving. You will contribute to real-world projects focused on process optimization, mechanical design, and automation, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement solutions that enhance the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our operations.


During this internship, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Participate in the design, improvement, and commissioning of production equipment
  • Conduct technical studies to improve equipment performance, reliability, and safety
  • Perform on-site assessments and analyses to identify improvement opportunities
  • Contribute to the design of parts, tooling, and mechanical systems using CAD software
  • Develop and update engineering drawings, technical plans, and documentation
  • Collaborate on automation and manufacturing process improvement projects
  • Participate in failure analysis and root cause investigations of mechanical issues
  • Contribute to the implementation of solutions aimed at reducing costs, downtime, and production losses
  • Participate in risk assessments and equipment safety evaluations
  • Collaborate with maintenance, production, quality, and health and safety teams
  • Conduct testing, validation, and follow-up activities to measure the effectiveness of implemented solutions
  • Prepare and present the results of analyses along with recommendations
  • Perform any other duties related to the internship as required

Profile

With the following skills and qualifications, you'll be set up for success:


  • Currently enrolled in a university program in Mechanical Engineering
  • Completed at least one year of university studies
  • Knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD, or equivalent
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and mechanical systems
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment (an asset)
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement principles and Lean Manufacturing (an asset)


Ready to join us? We're looking forward to meeting you! This internship runs from January 5 to April 16, 2027. You'll work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, and benefit from a flexible schedule.
